Dear net-snmp-coders, I am using Net-SNMP 5.2.1. It seems disable snmpEnableAuthenTraps does not work. Please see the report below, even if I set it to "disable(2)", authenticationFailure notifications are still generated regardless the value of this object.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ snmpset -c private 10.1 snmpEnableAuthenTraps.0 i 2 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpEnableAuthenTraps.0 = INTEGER: disabled(2) [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ snmpget -c private 10.1 snmpEnableAuthenTraps.0 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpEnableAuthenTraps.0 = INTEGER: disabled(2) [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ snmpset -c unknown 10.1 sysName.0 s xyz 2006-08-08 09:38:16 10.0.0.1 [UDP: [10.0.0.1]:32823]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (661766) 1:50:17.66 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTr apOID.0 = OID: SNMPv2-MIB::authenticationFailure SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapEnterprise.0 = OID: NET-SNMP-MIB::netSnmpAgentOIDs.10 Please point me to a solution to this problem.
