I don't have time to respond to the whole thread at the moment.  My
point wasn't that some whacky script can't do harm to the agent.
Certainly there are many ways you can harm an agent intentionally or
not if you have access to some of it's resources.  My point was the
agent should protect itself when possible.

The choice is simply:

  1) do nothing until a true and proper fix is proposed/put in place (if ever)
  2) apply the stop gap and then do 1)

Actually: the consensus, as determined by me, is far fewer than +3 for
doing #2 and thus we can stop arguing about it anyway.
