Jochen,

I am empathetic with your problem and wish issues like it were more
easily resolvable.  However, I do not think we will change our
decision for packaging them.  We see them as helpful to SNMP
developers to have the specs nicely packaged with the implementation
of them.  It holds them in an easy-to-find place that is right next to
the code that implements them.

If the files are not acceptable for distribution in Debian due to the
licensing restrictions there, I think you're only alternative is to
remove them from the debian packaged versions.  However, I don't see
why we should impose the debian restrictions (though very well thought
and worthwhile to uphold) on the entire Net-SNMP user base.
