configure
1>snmp.conf
2>snmptrapd.conf
3>snmp.conf
Which one I need to configure ? My solarwind server is windows 2003 and
client is hp-ux!

Hi,
We want to monitor (cpu usages/disk usages etc) our HP-UX (11.11)
boxes through Solarwind monitoring tools which is installed in Windows
2003 server.
Last two month we got stuck to configure the same for HP-UX client.
We come to know that normal snmp does not support for hp-ux then
Net-snmp (from Iexpress cd )and related patches are installed on hp-ux
box.
Now it is telling from windows solarwind server we are geting this
messages "Host(hp-ux) does not support the resources MIB or it is not
responding to snmp queries.
Please clarify below mentioned question
1> does solarwinds client is supported on hp-ux 11.11
2> what is the starting procedure of Net-snmp services using snmp
community (which version should I use as it is providing 1/2c/3 )
3> what port should I use them (transmit trap udp:161 receive trap
udp:162)
4>How to start using different port from hp-ux with diffrent version.
5>Should I use 64 bit counter in windows side or not.
6> Provide me some technical docs on this regard (how to start the
client of solarwind if client is hp-ux 11.11 box)
