I like the idea, but agree with your point about the end point being less
obvious. I think that the optional starting point is more intuitive.

And, for anyone poking around in snmpwalk, I've always thought it would be
nice to be able to specify multiple trees to walk.. eg

        snmpwalk ifTable ipAddrTable
