That's for a default configuration, where everything is
installed under "/usr/local".

But the configure command you used included
   --prefix=/usr
which means that everything is installed under /usr instead.

Try copying the new MIB files into /usr/share/snmp/mibs
(or wherever the rest of the MIB files are)

   echo  "mibs +ALL"  >> /usr/share/snmp/snmp.conf
