I am running the snmpd with the following flags.
/usr/sbin/snmpd -r -A -LF e /var/log/net-snmpd.log -p /var/run/snmpd.pid

No I haven't defined agentXSocket in my snmpd.conf

snmpd.conf
===================================
master agentx
syslocation Server Room
syscontact Sysadmin (r...@localhost)
rwcommunity public
===================================

Whoops; my bad.  Accidentally typed my "you wrote just to me" macro and
shouldn't have.

That, however, is still true.  Specifically what flags are you running
snmpd with and do you have agentXSocket defined in your snmpd.conf file?
