First of all thanks for your great work! :-)
Secondly a general and short question:
Is it possible to add extensions to "HOST-RESOURCES-MIB" (and the related
agent code) and have the chance to get those in the release branch?
Background:
I plan of make use of (query) OIDs in HOST-RESOURCES-MIB. Especially from
lists returned by those "hwSWrun*" OIDs.
Now I have the need for addtional (process-related) information then such
provided by ."hwSWrun*" (..2.1.1 to ...2.1.7).
Looking at the code in "agent/mibgroup/host/hr_swrun.c" (and the definitions
ins HOST-RESOURCES-MIB) I found it looks quiet simple to add for example an OID
"hwSWrunStartTime" as ...2.1.8 that returns a process' start-time.
Actually I already modified hr_swrun.c and HOST-RESOURCES-MIB to exactly do
that ... (for linux) ;-)
So finally an even more general question:
Which approaches could I take to have the offical Net-SNMP release be able to
provide more process related information?
