Thanks Michael, that did the trick. I was able to use the -I -ifTable option to disable the loading of the default ifTable and then I extended my perl embedded agent to register and handle the ifTable OID subtree along with my enterprise MIB tree. Worked like a charm. I still need to get the ifXTable working but that should be trivial.
Thanks again, and really sorry for the direct contact (won't happen again). -Carvaka On Tue, Jan 24, 2012 at 2:35 AM, Michael Steiger <[email protected]> wrote: > Please mail to the mailing list, not directly to me! > > > On 24.01.2012 00:50 Carvaka Guru said the following: >> Hi Michael, >> Really sorry for contacting you directly but I was hoping that you could >> point me in the right direction regarding a problem that I am having >> with non-standard interfaces on an embedded linux system (ELDK) not >> showing up in the IF-MIB. >> I am actually on the net-snmp-coders mailing list (which is how I got >> your e-mail address) and I saw your exchange regarding a similar problem >> that you were having which you subsequently resolved.
