One possible solution is to modify net-snmp-config such that all -W

IMHO, the --enable-developer was created for adding options like this
and they should never be on anywhere in default builds. We should
remove all warning flags everywhere by default (IMHO, but that's the
point of a discussion: I could be alone in my thinking).
I took a look at moving -Werror=declaration-after-statement to the
developer options. Because of this commit on the V5-9-patches branch
I can't make changes myself to any of the configure scripts:
"autoconf 2.72".
Please either switch back to autoconf 2.69 or update the table with
autoconf, automake and libtool versions in
https://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Build_System such that we all
use the same versions of these tools. If we each use different versions
of these tools that will result in frequent upgrades/downgrades of the
automake and libtool code included in the configure script. I think that
nobody wants this.
Thanks,
Bart.
