OK, so you got the version from sunfreeware.com.  Steve and I talked before
he uploaded his version and it does support HOST-RESOURCES-MIB (as far as I
know).

A few questions.

1.  Did you read and follow the instructions in README.solaris?

2.  Did you turn off Sun's daemons as instructed?

3.  Did you start the snmpd daemon either from the commandline or using a
script (as instructed)?  

Type:

ps -ef | grep snmpd

Is something there?

4.  Did you create an snmpd.conf as instructed?

5.  Type "snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost .1.3".  Do you get anything at
all?

5.  Are you using the correct community string?  "public" is deprecated.

>I'm using version 5.1.1 and get message "Timeout: No response from
localhost". What should I do?
