I'm trying to arrange snmpd running as an AgentX subagent, and want it to register with a master agent on another machine. FAQ says I should be able to do this.
When I try this: -f -L -d -X -x 135.5.179.156 I get Error: Failed to connect to the agentx master agent: Unknown host Same with this: -f -L -d -X -x 135.5.179.156:705 When I try this: -f -L -d -X -x udp:135.5.179.156 UDP packets get sent, but ignored (of course). My master agent is running ok. What am I missing? Perhaps some permission or config?
