We have an application that is using Net-SNMP and libnetsnmpengine.so and when the app start with SNMP feeder enabled you see this and it only seems to appear on RH 8 or 9 boxes:
libnetsnmpengineso: undefined symbol: des_key_sched

cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)

snmpd -v

NET-SNMP version: 5.2.1
Web: http://www.net-snmp.org/
Email: net-snmp-coders@lists.sourceforge.net

/var/log/snmpd.log
Error opening specified endpoint "udp:161"
Server Exiting with code 1

That 'des_key_sched' seems to imply a problem with OpenSSL? openssl-0.9.7e is installed. Could there be conflicting libraries since both Net-SNMP and OpenSSL were upgraded from the default installation?
