No. It's a good idea, though. You could simulate it, though, with directories. i.e. SNMPCONFPATH=/usr/local/share/snmp SNMPCONFPATH=$SNMPCONFPATH:/usr/local/share/snmp/roll-1 SNMPCONFPATH=$SNMPCONFPATH:/usr/local/share/snmp/server-2 SNMPCONFPATH=$SNMPCONFPATH:/usr/local/share/snmp/database-3 export SNMPCONFPATH snmpd The file in each directory (roll-1, server-2, etc) would still have to be called snmpd.conf. -- Robert Story; NET-SNMP Junkie Support: <http://www.net-snmp.org/> <irc://irc.freenode.net/#net-snmp> Archive: <http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum=net-snmp-users> You are lost in a twisty maze of little standards, all different. ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
