dear all, i have a situation here like having my Dell PowerEdge Server acting as a router by having 2 network card. FYI, i'm not the one who responsible for buying the server, and the cd is not at me.(maybe missing i thought, by misplace or something) so, i go to dell sites and download the dell mibs. it as about 21 mib files. i copy the 10892.mib to the /usr/share/snmp/mibs.. and i thought by default it is available to the tools. but seems like something go wrong.
this is what i get when i run the snmpwalk after placing the 10892.mib into /usr/share/snmp/mibs
snmpwalk -v 1 -c public udp6:[3ffe:80d0:ff12:2::3]:161 iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.dell iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.dell: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: enterprises -> dell)
Before the walk, type:
export MIBS=ALL
I tested on both Windows and Linux by copying the 10892.mib file to the mibs folder and then setting MIBS to all (set MIBS=ALL in Windows). I tested with snmptranslate:
snmptranslate -On iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.dell
