Hello, It's me, again. The thing is that when I run: ./configure --with-perl-modules And then: make
Everything works fine!!! , but I'm not really sure if I need the perl support un modules, or if I need to have it embedded. What I want to do is: Once I've received the "trap", how do I know what's the value of the trap?, I mean, how do I handle that value? I'm using snmptt to translage traps, and I know that this is not the mail list to ask about it, but the thing is that I need to do variable substitution, and I don't really know how to do it. Thank you everybody.
SNMPTT does not use *embedded* Perl, so you should be fine with the above. It can work with or without the Perl modules, but with is recommended.
If you want to do variable substitution, then SNMPTT is probably what you want. Please send any questions about SNMPTT to the snmptt-users list.
