I need somebody to clarify a question to me. Robert said "Using informs instead of traps help, as the agent will resend a few times if confirmation is not received". OK, now a new doubt has aroused in me, this is: the resending is automaticly made by the agent or should I programme the agent to do it?

A UDP PDU can be 64 kB, but that will certainly get fragmented as it travels
over the network. The receiving manager may not support packets that large
either. UDP is not a reliable protocol, so adding packet fragmentation on top
of that might be asking for trouble.

If the data is important, then a smaller inform to the manager, indicating it
needs to read the data, would be safer. Then the manager could decide how hard
to try and retrieve the data..
