Generally you would run "make install" which would install it in /usr/local/lib and other places. If you install it somewhere unusual, you can use net-snmp's configure option --with-openssl=/path/to/openssl/prefix which will tell it to look in a particular place. When configure gets done, in the bottom summary you should see AES listed as an encryption type and SHA listed as an authentication type.
