Nope. Net::SNMP is David Town's "pure-perl" implementation of SNMP. It is completely independent of our SNMP toolkit. The "net-snmp-perl" module is effectively a perl wrapper round the C library (which is why the documentation is full of dire warnings about using the correct version, and why we don't host our module on CPAN) They're two completely separate packages, with two different APIs. They both address the same tasks, of course, but if bb-xsnmp.pl explicitly requires Net::SNMP, then our perl module won't be any good to you.
