Hi,
 The commands that I am trying are:
SuseEnt9:/tmp/net-snmp-5.2.1 # snmpwalk -c public -v2c localhost if | grep ifInMulticastPkts SuseEnt9:/tmp/net-snmp-5.2.1 # snmpwalk -c public -v 1 localhost if | grep ifInMulticastPkts

Like this i greped for each of the vales that I am looking out for i.e ifInMulticastPkts, ifInBroadcastPkts, ifOutMulticastPkts and ifOutBroadcastPkts.

also,
SuseEnt9:/tmp/net-snmp-5.2.1 # snmpwalk -c public -v 1 localhost IF-MIB::ifEntry

returns the objects with its values neatly, but the following coommand does not.

SuseEnt9:/tmp/net-snmp-5.2.1 # snmpwalk -c public -v 1 localhost IF-MIB::ifXEntry
SuseEnt9:/tmp/net-snmp-5.2.1 #

Something that I am missing out ?

I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Krushna

Where are you looking? What is the snmpwalk command line you are using?

You are lost in a twisty maze of little standards, all different.
