Hi Net SNMP Users,
I have a security applaince with two NIC cards installed, one attached
directly to the corporate network, the other attached to a network which
in turn has a number of security appliances connected (The NIC's have
addresses on two diffrent subnets the "Corporate" network and the
"Security" network). No routing takes place on the dual NIC appliciance
so it really acts as gateway to all other appliances. (All appliances
are running Net-SNMP agents). What is the easiest way to manange all
appliances from the coporate network?
One solution I had in mind was to send trap information for CPU, DISK
etc... to the dual NIC appliance, get it logged as a text file via
snmptrapd and then pull out info from the text file. Does this sound
resonable or is there a better way.
Many thanks,
Kevin.
