Title: Re: ipAddrTable  AIX doesn't have one?
The last sentence should have said “Also if I snmpwalk this host I see no stats related to ipAddrTable or IPIndex, etc... I do see loads of other information however (so it is not that it is different it simply is not there).”

There have been several posts to the effect of ipAddrTable not working properly on AIX.  Is there any insite into this?
I am using OpenNMS to monitor all my systems except AIX due to this not working.  My thought are that it might be a result of permissions (AIX not allowing net-snmp permission to access ODM, etc...) Anyone else have any ideas?  Or been able to get this to work on AIX?

The specific error I get is “interface <ip address> has no valid ifIndex, Assume this is a lame SNMP host with no ipAddrTable”.  Also if I snmpwalk this host I see not stats (so it is not that it is different it simply is not there).

Thanks,

Alton
