It might also be worth using 'snmpgetnext' rather than 'snmpget'


The other thing is the OID that you're using.
The IETF Bridge MIB is rooted at .1.3.6.1.2.1.17, so I'm
not sure where .1.3.6.1.4.1.272.... comes into it.
Check where your module is registering itself.
