The MIB files will need to hold the definitions of any MIB objects that will appear in the incoming notifications. Both the OID of the notifications themselves, and any varbinds that they might contain. In fact, you don't actually need *any* MIB files, as long as you're happy to work with numeric OIDs, and to use the default output format of any results. The MIB files are simply used to display things in a more meaningful manner.
