I start a project that implements and extends function of net-snmp.I try to configure snmptrapd on a linux box. What I have done so far is using snmpconf to generate snmpd.conf file. When I run snmptrapd, it returns:
Warning: no access control information configured.
This receiver will *NOT* accept any incoming notifications.
NET-SNMP version 5.3.0.1
My questions are:
1. Do i need to add a snnmtrapd.conf file?
2. Can I have trap notification appear on screen?
3. Is there any document talking about how to configure net-snmp trap as the document from net-snmp.org is a bit general for me.
4. If I want to use open source NMS on window Xp, which NMS are available?
