First, please send mail to *either* the -users *or* the -coders list, not both.
Please try to compile on the same system (64-bit). If it still doesn't work, please file a bug report on http://www.net-snmp.org/bugs .
Then, still, "snmpd -r" may serve as a workaround for you. When encountering errors on reading kernel values, snmpd then will not abort, assuming this may have happened because of insufficient privileges. It'll not return proper values for the corresponding mib objects, though.
