YA situation where make test fails with "(no pid file(s) found) FAIL". It's pretty clear that snmpd is failing to start.
I read the FAQ and all, configure and make ran without any apparent errors, still make[1]: Entering directory `/app/wsanders/SUNW/net-snmp-5.3.0.1/testing' ./RUNTESTS -a -D `pwd`/.. 1: testing SNMPv1 support... Killed Killed (no pid file(s) found) FAIL [ etc - all tests fail ] # ./agent/snmpd ld.so.1: snmpd: fatal: libcrypto.so.0.9.8: open failed: No such file or directory Killed Well, that explains everything, most likely. Configure did not catch that. I thought it might build OK and just leave off V3 support, which I don't need. This is 5.3.0.1 on Solaris 8, with a whole bumch of junk installed from both Sunfreeware and the Solaris SFW disk. (Yeah, it's a mess.) I'll make clean and try again tomorrow. -W Sanders http://www.wsanders.net __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
