Well, the first thing to do is to try and tell whether the problem is
with your code, or the settings you are using. Try using the
'snmpget' command to make the same request (to the same agent, using
the same settings), and see if that works.
If it does, then the problem will be somewhere in your code. If it
doesn't then the problem is something to do with the agent or
destination system.
My guess is that the agent may be configured to respond to the
community name "public" rather than "pubic". Changing the community
string in your program might well fix the problem.
