I believe that you should copy your subagnett.conf file to the same location as your snmpd.conf file. This can vary from system to system. On my system snmpd.conf is located in /usr/local/share/snmp.
To be sure, I suggest you search your filesystem for snmpd.conf, and try to copy your sub-agent configuration file there. Then restart the sub-agent, and the new settings should take effect.

Now I want to change default (15 second) re-establish master agent (snmpd) contact time to some lower (2 second) time so I created subagnett.conf file and added "agentxPingInterval 2". My question is Where this file should be?. I tried putting this file all standard default places where snmpd looks for and did not work.
