Some more things to check: - What smux-related settings (smuxpeer, smuxsocket etc.) do you have in your snmpd.conf? - Do you also have this problem if you shut down the other smux peer (SMUX ATM daemon)? - Can you capture the packets on 127.0.0.1 port 199/tcp (e.g. with tcpdump)?
