Hi all, As I mentioned briefly in one of my other emails I'm having problems with ddd/gdb and it's now making it far harder, if not impossible, to progress any further hence a new email specifically for it.
The problem is that on debugging any code other than my own code, certain files are being loaded into the source window but only have the first 10 lines displayed. Attempting to load them manually gets the same result with the addition of a message in the console window along the lines of 'Line 1 of "read_config.c" is at address 0x401cdef8 <register_prenetsnmp_mib_handler> but contains no code.' Some files are displayed ok when debugged into or loaded manually (snmp_api.c) despite a message in the console window on loading them manually indicating a problem; 'Line 1 of "snmp_api.c" is at address 0x401b20f4 <snmp_pdu_type> but contains no code.' The machine code window is also displaying a message along the lines of 'Cannot access memory at address ...' even if the source window is displaying the file ok. There's a couple of other threads in the archive that mention this but no solution as far as I can see. Anyone seen this and got a solution? Or anyone not have a problem debugging? If the latter what build/compile/configure options are you using? Cheers, Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
