Greetings net-snmp,

I'm having trouble running net-snmp on my AIX 5.3 box. Every time I attempt
to start snmpd, it dies. Here is the output.

/usr/local/sbin/snmpd -D all -c /usr/local/etc/snmpd.conf

No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging

trace: netsnmp_ds_set_string(): default_store.c, 283:

netsnmp_ds_set_string: Setting LIB:5 = "/usr/local/etc/snmpd.conf"

trace: netsnmp_ds_set_boolean(): default_store.c, 205:

netsnmp_ds_set_boolean: Setting APP:1 = 0/False

daemonize: deamonizing...

daemonize: child continuing

daemonize: second fork returned 290984.

daemonize: first fork returned 397388.

daemonize: parent exiting

AIX Level-

# oslevel -r

5300-05

Running on a 64-bit Kernel

I have verified that the IBM snmpd is disabled. The same behavior happens
if I compile myself or from the binary at
http://aixpdslib.seas.ucla.edu/packages/net-snmp.html

Thanks,

Joe Rockhead
