Hi,
I received the following compile error during 'make'. Additional info as
follows:
OS: RH ES 4.0
64-bit kernel
gcc -g -O2 -Dlinux -I/usr/include/rpm -o .libs/snmpd snmpd.o
./.libs/libnetsnmpmibs.so ./.libs/libnet snmpagent.so
helpers/.libs/libnetsnmphelpers.so ../snmplib/.libs/libnetsnmp.so -ldl -lrpm
-lrpmio /usr /lib/libpopt.so -lz -lcrypto -lm -Wl,--rpath
-Wl,/usr/local/lib
/usr/lib/libpopt.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [snmpd] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/FOSS/Net-SNMP/net-snmp-5.3.1/agent'
make: *** [subdirs] Error 1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] net-snmp-5.3.1]#
[EMAIL PROTECTED] lib]# ls -al libpop*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 30548 Dec 6 2004 libpopt.a
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 786 Dec 6 2004 libpopt.la
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Oct 22 16:02 libpopt.so -> libpopt.so.0.0.0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Oct 22 16:03 libpopt.so.0 -> libpopt.so.0.0.0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 28348 Dec 6 2004 libpopt.so.0.0.0
[EMAIL PROTECTED] lib]#
Note: I also tried removing the links to libpopt.so.0.0.0 and renaming same
to libpopt.so, but error still occurred. Appreciate any additional
information - not sure what file in wrong format indicates. Thanks.
-Jim
