I could certainly provide the tcpdump. Meanwhile, Let me explain. My
understanding from the IBM support is that, It's not snmpwalk problem either
from NetView or net-snmp. The problem starts when NetView's netmon starting
doing series of snmp getnext in one single SNMP request, That's the time
net-snmp starts giving weird results back to netview. Please see quote below
from IBM support.
"The problem comes when the NetView netmon daemon
starts discovering the interfaces on the node. Netmon does not issue a simple
series of getnext commands because that would be slow. Instead netmon issues
several getnext instructions in a single SNMP request. It is essentially
pulling tables, row by row, from the MIB. It appears from the netmon trace,
that the SNMP agent is getting confused by the requests and not returning the
correct data from the ip table. "

Can you provide a Wireshark/tcpdump capture file of the requests and
reponses with both NetView and Net-SNMP's snmpwalk together with the
output both of these tools present?
