Hello all.
I've got a strange behaviour again.
This is some of the snmptrapd output:
2008-07-16 11:12:04 127.0.0.1 [127.0.0.1]:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (3040)
0:00:30.40 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteTriggerFired DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotTrigger =
STRING: alert off DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotTargetName = STRING:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotContextName = STRING: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotOID
= OID: UCD-SNMP-MIB::extResult.2 DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotValue = INTEGER:
3 UCD-SNMP-MIB::extOutput.2 = STRING: (1094 fich)
UCD-SNMP-MIB::extNames.2 = STRING: q3
2008-07-16 11:12:54 127.0.0.1 [127.0.0.1]:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (8044)
0:01:20.44 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteTriggerFired DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotTrigger =
STRING: alert off DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotTargetName = STRING:
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotContextName = STRING: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotOID
= OID: UCD-SNMP-MIB::extResult.2 DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::mteHotValue = INTEGER:
3 UCD-SNMP-MIB::extOutput.2 = STRING: (1094 fich)
UCD-SNMP-MIB::extNames.2 = STRING: q3
The extensions and monitor are:
sh trf /export/home/sma/loadmon-dir.sh trf
sh q3 /export/home/sma/loadmon-dir.sh q3
sh snmp /export/home/sma/loadmon-dir.sh snmp
sh ips /export/home/sma/loadmon-dir.sh ips
sh combi /export/home/sma/loadmon-dir.sh combi
sh flexi /export/home/sma/loadmon-dir.sh flexi
monitor -r 10 -u readonly -o extOutput -o extNames "alert off" extResult ==
0
monitor -r 10 -u readonly -o extOutput -o extNames "alert on" extResult > 0
Questions:
If the output is the same, why does it send _another trap_? (The timeticks
are diferent.)
If the extResult is 3, why does the "alert off" fires? Twice.
This is strange behaviour and I do not know much what to do now. I've
"walked" the dismanEventMIB, and sometimes gives-me "OID not increasing" and
other times, don't. And don't know why.
FYI, this is a Solaris 10 and net-snmp 5.0.9.
