I went through the basic setup with snmpconf process outlined at
http://www.net-snmp.org/tutorial/tutorial-5/demon/snmpd.html.

I then invoked snmpd from the command line. I ran prtg from a windows
box on the same subnet as the FReeBSD7 box running net-snmp with
autodiscovery and the IP address of the FreeBSD7 box running net-snmp
and was able to create a sensor and track the throughput on the
interfaces of the FreeBSD7 box. I verified the throughputs with a probe
on the same segment and they match. I will also check the probe to look
at the various SNMP traffic that is occurring.

Everything appears to be working.

Thanks,

John

The attachment didn't come through. Which test failed?
