I've no real idea what might be going wrong here. The Net-SNMP software is written in C, not C++, so a broken or missing C++ environment shouldn't be a problem. But I'm somewhat surprised that you have a gcc envirob=nment, that doesn't also include g++ Anyway, I'll leave it to those more familiar with AIX to take over now.
