With what results? Please be very specific about: The exact trapsess command you are using The exact snmptrapd configuration What exactly happened Any output (errors, warnings, debug) from the trap receiver Telling us that you tried something isn't actually a lot of help, when we don't know exactly what you tried! :-) > I can't really change how the box sending > the trap is set up, it's in our build and has to be generic. Sure - but the first task is to find out what's actually going wrong. And that may well require some temporary tweaks to the overall environment (e.g. testing with hardcoded engineIDs, etc). Once we've worked out *why* things aren't working, then maybe we can help you develop a suitable fix or generic configuration. But that's not going to simply drop out of the sky - you will need to try some less clean approaches first.
