Hi ALL,
I am Revathy from India. I am having a problem in snmpv3 walk.
Steps to repro the problem.
1. I created a user, view.(createUser and createView)
2. I associated a view with a group.(createAccess)
3. In turn I associated a securityname with group (createSec2Group)
4. I have done snmpv3 walk for that view using the v3 user created. It works
fine
5. Later on I created SNMPv1 trap. For eg I have written the following line
in /usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf
trapsink <IP-address>
1. I reconfigured "snmpd" using "SIGHUP" signal.
2. I have done the same snmpv3 query as I have done in step 4. Now snmpv3
walk is not working as the snmpv3 view, group and sec2group entries are deleted
automatically. Only snmpv3 user entry is there in the usmtable others are
deleted. Hence query fails for that view.
Please give the suggestion where I am going wrong. I am creating v3 users,
view, group and access using snmpvacm and snmpusm utilities. Is there any link
between snmpv1/v2 and v3 configurations? Why configuring v1|v2 traps makes
snmpv3 walk failure? Please respond as soon as possible.
