Hello!
I deployed net-snmp for monitoring RHEL, Solaris(9;10). I installed it from
corresponding packages.
Now what I see from my SNMP Agent is that I don't have in hrDeviceEntry
column named hrDeviceStatus. Therefore I have problem with my management
system that rely on this OID in discovering and monitoring of device,
basically Disks.
There is output of snmpwalk:
sm_snmp --dest=XXXX --community=XXXX --snmp=2c walk mimic
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.1.769: 769
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.1.1552: 1552
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.1.1553: 1553
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.1.3072: 3072
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.2.769: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.1.3
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.2.1552: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.1.6
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.2.1553: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.1.6
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.2.3072: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.1.12
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.3.769: An electronic chip that makes the computer
work.
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.3.1552: sd
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.3.1553: sd
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.3.3072: Guessing that there's a floating point
co-processor
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4.769: .0.0
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4.1552: .0.0
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4.1553: .0.0
.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4.3072: .0.0
So from this I can see that Device with index 1552 and 1553 are
Disks(because their hrDeviceType telling me this), but there is no OID's
with .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.5.[index], that actually must store
htDeviceStatus.
Can you help me in understanding what is the problem?
