Hello,

I apologize for asking this question again but I did not understand
the answers to similar questions.

I'm using net-snmp 5.7 installed on Centos 6.0

When I ran:
snmpget -v 2c -c public 10.0.0.138 SNMPv2-MIB:SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0

I got the following output:

MIB search path: /home/zvivered/.snmp/mibs:/usr/local/share/snmp/mibs
Cannot find module (SNMPv2-SMI): At line 6 in
/usr/local/share/snmp/mibs/SNMPv2-MIB.txt
Cannot find module (SNMPv2-TC): At line 9 in
/usr/local/share/snmp/mibs/SNMPv2-MIB.txt
Cannot find module (SNMPv2-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (IANAifType-MIB): At line 13 in
/usr/local/share/snmp/mibs/IF-MIB.txt
....
SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Software Version 3.10L.01.

What is the reason for all the "Cannot find module" messages ?
I checked the folder: /usr/local/share/snmp/mibs
It contains SNMPv2-SMI, SNMPv2-TC etc.

What is the wrong with snmp-net installation ?

Thanks,
Zvika.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
