Hello,
I've tried searching google and the site for hours, and have found others
with the same problem but no solutions that work for me.
I'm trying to set the OID "coDot11CurrentFrequency" to another value.
It's not the community, I've tried "public" and that yields "noAcess"
("private" is also set on the physical device to be the read/write
community).
I've also tried adding the params "-u readwrite -l authPriv -a MD5 -A
readwrite" which are correct for my setup for snmp v3, but that couldn't
even find the OID.
But with v2c and using the private community (which allows me to set some
system things like location), it still yields "notWritable":
# snmpset -mALL -v2c -c private 192.168.15.166 coDot11CurrentFrequency i 36
Error in packet.
Reason: notWritable (That object does not support modification)
Failed object: COLUBRIS-802DOT11-MIB::coDot11CurrentFrequency
yet in the MIB (
http://guantanamo.ncs.mcgill.ca/snmp/mibs/CN320_MIB/COLUBRIS-IEEE802DOT11.my)
it clearly states:
coDot11CurrentFrequency OBJECT-TYPE
SYNTAX Integer32 (0..99)
MAX-ACCESS read-write
STATUS current
DESCRIPTION "The desired operating frequency channel of the OFDM PHY."
::= { coDot11PhyOFDMEntry 1 }
(I don't understand why it's limited to 0-99 either... It's set to channel
153 right now and I can read it fine, .11a and .11n both support channels
at least up to 165.)
OS: 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu
NET-SNMP version: 5.4.1
I apologize for not finding this answer already out there, but if someone
could point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Tim
