Hi,
I am trying to add a target address for sending SNMP v3 traps by adding the
entry to the snmpTargetAddrTable.
This target address entry uses existing tag that is already defined (via a
trapsess command - trapsess -v 3 -u MD5 -a MD5 -A MD5UserAuthPassword12 -l
authNoPriv 0.0.0.0:162) and a user that was create via a create user command in
the /var/lib/net-snmp/snmpd.conf - below:
usmUser 1 3 0x80001f888079e3506218666e5200000000 0x4d443500 0x4d443500 NULL
.1.3.6.1.6.3.10.1.1.2 0x53a66d3b6ecbb22920c5db128122cc26 .1.3.6.1.6.3.10.1.2.2
0x 0x00
targetAddr KS .1.3.6.1.6.1.1 0xac12120200a2 1500 5 "internal0" internal0 3 1

In 5.3 this worked fine, but in 5.5 I get the following error: "USM unknown
security name (no such user exists)"
Debugging shows that there is no engine id when trying to create the trap.

Am I missing something? Is this a bug?

Lomy
