This was indirectly implied (reference to "configuration directive" and 'pkill 
-HUP snmpd'), but "no", I'm refering to these values being set via the 
snmpd.conf/kill -HUP mechanism.

Yes, this is fine, and I'm curious how to "reset" the value to blank via the 
snmpd.conf file. I couldn't see a way to do this (i.e., enter an "empty 
string").
