(Apologies if this has been answered before.)
Is there a simple (as in, not requiring a compilation of multiple modules)
way to install Net-SNMP 5.7.x on CentOS 6.5?
Reason I ask: older versions included (net-snmp-5.5-49.el6_5.2.x86_64) and
available (via yum, 5.5-54.el6_7.1) have an issue
<https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/77885> with large capacity volumes,
reporting that capacity incorrectly. It appears to have been fixed in 5.7.1
if I am reading this <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=789441>
right.
If not, is there a relatively painless way to fix the issue w/o installing
a newer Net-SNMP version? (It's interesting that even Net-SNMP 5.4 on older
versions of OSX isn't affected as it adjusts "hrStorageAllocationUnits"
appropriately.)
Thank you!
Alex.
