   with pre-asun2.1.4-36a.tar.gz:
   file write/read (3000k) - 7xxkB/sec / 10xxkB/sec

   with pre-asun2.1.4-35.tar.gz:
   file write/read (3000k) - 1xxxkB/sec / 10xxkB/sec

umm. as there should be no performance changes between pre-35 and
pre-36a, i'm a little confused by these numbers. i get 2600KB/s writes
with a 100BaseT connection to the Blue Box running os 8.6. needless to
say, it's much higher if i use the native 8.6.
