I seem to not have the correct permissions set for this one to work properly. The problem is the when the owner of the "Network Trash Folder" is connected to a shared volume, this folder is invisible, but when non-owners are connected, the folder becomes a locked (has a strap on the icon) visible folder and that other users are unable to trash items. Instead when the users move items to the trash they are confronted with a dialog "<filename> cannot be left in the Trash. Do you want to delete <filename> immediately?" The client system is running Mac OS 9, the server is running the latest Adrian Sun release (same problem existed on previous version) on a NetBSD/i386 1.4.1 box. The permissions on the folder are "drwx--Srwx" as created by netatalk, the owner being the first person to logon to the volume. Have tried to set the group permissions to +r+w, the only change was to remove the strap from the icon - still prohibited items being moved into the trash by non-owners. Any help would be appreciated. -- Stephen Welker
