i have resently joined the list, and look forward to mutuallly benificial
exchange of info on all things LINUX/Mac. i am the net manager for the MRC
unit at UCL (medical research council). i have been in the position for
the past 9mos. in which time i have restructured the peer to peer mac
centric network to a proper client server environment utilising LINUX Intel
boxes, which have been brilliant for mail, http and ftp stuff, but have
been BATTLLING with trying to get proper file sharing for the Mac to fly
under LINUX (i.e. netatalk),
HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!!
all of my colleuges are very pleased with the virtual elimination of M/S
and uncle Bill, "the more the better!!" they cry. if there is anyone out
there who could do a bit of digital hand holding, to help us get netatalk
off the ground, i am sure we can find a way to recipricate. all the best
over and out!!
