DNS failure

Dear netatalk,

I run netatalk-1.4b2+asun2.1.0a on Red Hat 5.2 also
netatalk-1.4b2+asun2.1.4 on Red Hat 6.0

When our DNS goes down Mac users can still connect to the
6.0 box but not 5.2. Is there a config file I can change to enable
connection under DNS failure on the 5.2 setup?
