Netware was one of the fastest AppleTalk only Servers (as ASIP wasn't born). Okay, one
needed a PC to do comfy administration but it was okay and there may be situations in
which it fulfills still ones needs.

Hm, I for myself simply won't (or seldom will) use aliases. Neither on the server nor
on my local disks. Users at work do it evenly. Perhaps germans don't like aliases ;-)

I think it's a question how to implement these in a manner so access to an
DID-overview is fast and reliable - and nice to handle from within unix. And how do
you handle a suddently missing or added directory (from within samba or unix)?
Adrian has some efforts done.
